Doowop and the Drifters create a sound from the golden oldies of the past that has the youthful tone of today's generation.

The group concentrates on performing songs with and without instrumentation, known as acapella, often evoking memories of the groups from the 50s and 60s singing ‘doo wop' harmonies on the street corners of Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

Their brand of visual excitement and tight harmonies earn them rave reviews wherever they play. Their unique style which combines first-rate musicianship and intricate vocal acrobatics creates a larger-than-life stage show where the humor they inject into their live performance only enhances their appeal. Think big harmonies, authentic killer outfits from the fifties and sixties and some slick choreographed dance moves!

Plus, original Drifter Derek Ventura from the 70’s and 80’s group line up, takes you through the entire Drifters catalog of hits such as Up on the Roof, On Broadway, Save the Last Dance for Me, Under the Boardwalk, Saturday Night at the Movies and many more.

Though their backgrounds vary, the members of  Doowop and The Drifters share a common love for the music from the timeless 50’s 60’s generation, as well as a love for creating wonderful harmony together. The boys are able to recreate the ‘authentic' sounds you will remember at every performance, while also adding their own unique style to certain songs in their repertoire.

Whether you watched Dick Clark's American Bandstand in the 50s, 60s or 70s, or re-runs in the 80s or 90s, you will think you've traveled back in time to the good times when you hear Doowop and The Drifters!.
